What shall we bring with us for a lesson?
Just a towel swimwear, swim costume under wetsuit, we provide all equipment.
What time do we arrive for lesson?
15 mins prior your lesson to get suits on and disclaimers signed.
Do I need to be able to swim?
It’s advisable to be able to swim a little yes, *but not compulsory, we are trained lifeguards. For sups we provide lifejackets.
For Surfing we are only waist to shoulder deep but you will have a few wipe outs so be prepared to get your head wet.
What is minimum age for a lesson?
The minimum age is 8 and over for children for a lesson without parent or guardian.
For 6-8 yrs we can do a Private lesson with Parent or guardian in the water with them assisting.Plus disclaimer needs to be signed with Parent or guardian taking full responsibility of them.
For hire we can hire to Parents of under 8, but it’s under their own risk to let children use equipment, and not Shaka Surf’s responsibility.
